The communion elements were Native American fry bread and blueberry juice. Blueberries are native to North America.

Todd Warfield sang and played the drum during the Memorial Service.

Rev. Carol Lakota Eastin offered her sermon titled The Empty Place.

In her sermon, Rev. Carol Lakota Eastin talked about her stole, which was hand beaded with more than 40,000 beads.

Rev. Carol Lakota Eastin pointed out another beaded stole made by the late Rev. Peter Parent that includes 250,000 beads.

Rev. Alicia Velez Stewart rang the bowl for each name being remembered as read by Conference Biographer Leeda Marsh.
