The Rev. Donald A. Williams, age 95, passed to the Church triumphant. His funeral will be on Tuesday, October 11, at 2p.m. at Duval Chapel, 80 Deaconess Road, Newberry Court, Concord MA 01742.

As a military chaplain in WWII he was stationed in the Yukon and Italy. He was a graduate of Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary. He was a proponent of the ecumenical dialog, civil rights, and gay rights. In every church he directed theater as a means of outreach and a way to spread the Gospel.

He served Methodist Churches in Medford, North Andover, Leominster, and Pembroke. He was the Methodist clergy at The United Parish in Brookline from 1968-1980. He and my mother lived happily for many years at Newbury Court~ Deaconess Abundant Life Community in Concord MA. They were grateful of the Methodists with the foresight to obtain land and build this wonderful retirement center.
