Rev. Thomas Landon Lindsay passed away at 95 years of age in the Health Center (The Pines) at Carolina Meadows in Chapel Hill, NC. Landon was born in Winston Salem, NC and graduated from Reynolds High School. He attended the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill) and Emory University, Candler School of Theology (Atlanta, GA). He completed post-graduate studies at Boston University, School of Theology. He was an ordained United Methodist Minister and served Massachusetts churches in West Chelmsford, Lexington, Wellesley,
and Marblehead as well as East Lyme, CT, and a Special Ministry in Human/Race Relations in the New England Conference.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Betty Phillips Lindsay, his sons Thomas (Joan), Mark (Janice), and Philip (Melissa) and his daughter Elizabeth. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory can be made to the Carolina Meadows Gift & Remembrance Fund for Employee Scholarships and/or to the Thomas Landon Lindsay and Betty Phillips Lindsay Scholarship Award, Emory University, Candler School of Theology.
A Celebration of Landon's life will be held January 18, 2020 at 2:00 pm in the auditorium at Carolina Meadows.
