Please keep the family and friends of Pastor Nancy Nelson, a retired local pastor, in your prayers.  Nancy died on Wednesday, September 11th at the age of 63.  She was the pastor of the Nantucket United Methodist Church from 1995 to 2009. She was instrumental in reviving the church’s membership on the island, as well as spearheading the restoration of the historic church building at 2 Centre St., designated one of "America's Treasures" by former first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton.
