Our condolences to the family and friends of The Rev. C. Elsie Banks Dame, 88, retired United Methodist pastor, who died on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, in Portland, ME. She was the widow of the Rev. John Dame. They served congregations in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Connecticut. Elsie served as interim pastor for churches on Prince Edward Island and in the Augusta, ME area.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 13, at the First United Methodist Church of South Portland, 179 Ridgeland Ave., So. Portland, followed by a reception at Clark Memorial UMC, 15 Pleasant Ave., Portland.
