Update on search for Conference Chief Financial Officer

September 21, 2020

The committee leading the search for a Conference Chief Financial Officer has been at work since spring 2020, working in consultation with the General Council on Finance and Administration to post the position nationally and screen candidates.

By mid-August, 25 applications had been received both from within and from outside the Conference boundaries. Phone interviews were conducted with 22 candidates.

Earlier this month, three candidates were interviewed by the search committee. Two finalists will be invited to interview with Bishop Sudarshana Devadhar.

The search committee hopes to present a candidate to the Conference Council on Finance and Administration (CCFA) for election at the 2020 Annual Conference Session Saturday, Oct. 17, 2020.

This person will take over for Treasurer/Director of Administrative Services Bill Burnside, who retired in August after announcing his plans to retire this spring.
