'Tending the Fire' trainings set for 2016-17

April 26, 2016

Pastors, when thinking about your church have you ever found yourself wondering:
"What happened?"
"What went wrong?"
"What’s really going on?"

"Tending the Fire" can give you tools for understanding yourself and your church. Rather than a formula for leadership, "Tending the Fire" helps the participating clergy to understand family systems and how they work within our churches.

"Tending the Fire" draws on the wisdom of family systems theory as developed by Murray Bowen and Edwin Friedman, combined with the adaptive leadership insights of Ron Heifetz and the powerful research of Brené Brown.

Join the many others in the New England Conference who have participated in "Tending the Fire" led by the Rev. Barb Lemmel. "Tending the Fire" is offered in a three-retreat format with the Opening Intensive, the Deepening Retreat, and the Sending Retreat.

“Tending the Fire” will be offered three times in 2016-17. Click the links below for information about each specific session.

Maine – Opening retreat is Oct. 12-14, 2016
Massachusetts – Opening retreat is Nov. 7-9, 2016
