President’s order on immigration sparks response

President Trump’s Jan. 27, 2017 executive order on immigration has prompted response from our denomination along with other faith leaders and advocacy groups.

Here are some of those responses:

United Methodist Council of Bishops President Bruce R. Ough has issued a statement on behalf of the council. Read the statement

The Northeastern Jurisdiction College of Bishops has released a letter and prayers. Read them here.

Bishop Sudarshana Devadhar is among the leaders who have signed “A Joint Letter from Massachusetts Heads of Church on the Executive Action Suspending Refugee Resettlement.”
