Preachers' Aid offers higher-ed loans

February 23, 2016

There are two ways the Preachers’ Aid Society of New England may be able to help you with higher-education debt:

Higher Education Loan Program

If you hold loans for your own higher education you may be eligible for our Higher Education Loan Program. It’s a revolving loan program that assists clergypersons by rewriting their seminary debt at a very low interest rate (currently 1.25 percent).  If you are a member of the New England Conference, received your degree more than three years ago, have served in a full-time appointment for three years, and intend to stay in the New England Conference, you may be eligible for this program.

Parental Education Loan Program

If you are a clergyperson or surviving spouse holding loans for a son or daughter’s college education you may be eligible for our Parental Education Loan Program. This is a new revolving loan program that assists by rewriting the loans at 2 percent interest. There are some restrictions so be sure to read the guidelines carefully.
