New administrative assistant joins New Hampshire District
July 12, 2018
The New England Conference and New Hampshire District Superintendent Taesung Kang are pleased to announce that Phyllis Riviere will join the staff as the administrative assistant for the New Hampshire District.
Riviere begins her new role on Monday, July 23, 2018. She replaces Susan M.S. Faretra who had been the district administrative assistant since 2013.
As administrative assistant for the district, Riviere will serve as a vital link between local churches and the district and to the Conference while providing administrative support to the district superintendent.
“I am excited about Phyllis joining the district because she loves working with the people at her current church,” Rev. Kang said. “She has proven communication and interpersonal skills, and is able to hold accountability with grace. To Phyllis, this position is much more vocation rather than a job. I believe Phyllis will be a great administrative assistant for the New Hampshire District.”
Riviere is an active member of St. James UMC in Merrimack, NH, where she served as the office administrator for the past five years. Prior to that she was a paraeducator in the Merrimack School District. She has held positions in the U.S. Postal Service, as well as in the banking and mortgage fields.
“I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to serve as administrative assistant for the New Hampshire District,” Riviere said. “I look forward to working with Rev. Kang and the many churches represented.”
“Summer camp played a large part in my spiritual formation growing up,” Riviere said, and she has served on the board of directors of Wanakee United Methodist Center since 2014.
Riviere, who lives in Merrimack, earned an Associate’s Degree in Business Management from Southern New Hampshire University.
She and her husband, Rick, are the parents of two young adults, Ryan and Courtney. The Rivieres enjoy boating, traveling, and spending time together as a family.
