The Mission of Peace (MOP) is a yearly journey of discovery and shalom to nations in our global community sponsored by the Northeastern Jurisdictional Council on Youth Ministries of The United Methodist Church.
 
Please join us in congratulating the three New England Conference youth who are expected to be making the  Mission of Peace journey to India Dec. 27, 2019 to Jan. 14, 2020.

 The New England Annual Conference has received generous donations for this experience, and will collect an offering at the 2019 Annual Conference session on June 13. The total of all those offerings will be divided evenly among the participants. Additionally, participants are encouraged to reach out to family and friends, and their local congregations to help you raise the funds.
 
Other churches are welcome to help support these young people on their journey. If your church would like to help support one or more of the MOP participants, contact your district superintendent.
 
Following their journey, the participants commit to talking about their experiences to churches and civic groups at least five times. If your church is nearby, and you would like to invite one of the MOP youth to speak, contact your district office.
