Every year, Bishop Sudarshana Devadhar makes a visit to each district in the New England Conference. These visits are an opportunity for clergy and laity to engage in dialog with the bishop.

In his July/August 2019 newsletter the bishop wrote: “I am looking forward to meeting you all in person during our fall district days. I heard from many of you asking me to talk about what it means to be a connectional church, and why we, as United Methodists, claim it is not just Let’s Connect our calling but our privilege to be in mission and to participate in shared ministries across the connection.

“After prayerful reflection, I have decided these would be meaningful topics for us to explore together. Let us be in prayer about this, so when we meet, we may engage in fruitful and fulfilling conversations in good Christian spirit.”
