UMCOR in Need of Cleaning Buckets and Kits

July 22, 2013

Due to recent natural disasters, UMCOR's relief supplies are at unusually low levels. There is a strong need for cleaning buckets, health kits, sewing kits, school kits, bedding kits and birthing kits, according to an UMCOR communication a few days ago.

UMCOR provides detailed instructions on assembling the buckets and kits and a list of contents for each. Please contact the local collection site prior to delivering buckets/kits to confirm drop-off hours.

*New England Conference’s UMCOR HUBs. HUBs are satellite operations that certify kits are put together properly before sending them on to UMCOR's two supply depots or to a network of United Methodist relief-supply depots across the United States, such as Mission Central in Mechanicsburg, PA. The United Methodist relief-supply depots respond to natural and man-made disasters with relief supplies and supply humanitarian goods and logistical services to hundreds of different ministry and social service agencies.
