Grants available for AIDS ministries

August 06, 2015

Is your church sponsoring or running an AIDS ministry or preparing to begin one? If so, you may be eligible to enhance your program with a $500 grant available through the New England Conference. The 10 grants will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis so it is important to apply as soon as possible.

Submissions will qualify under one of two categories:

1) A ministry that is already in place and can demonstrate success through data that indicates the length of the program, the services that are provided, and the number of persons served within each year of the program’s existence, or

2) A ministry which is being developed with a program plan demonstrating the need for an AIDS ministry within the church’s area, including number of persons expected to be served, the type of services to be offered, and a projected start-up date prior to May 1, 2016. In this category, the grant money will be distributed only after the program has demonstrated viability.

Applicants should also provide any other pertinent data, including the number of persons within the church working on the program and the name and email address of the primary contact(s) for the ministry.

All decisions regarding a church applicant’s qualifications for receiving a grant will be final and made at the discretion of the Conference.

Applications are to be submitted to Rene Wilbur at lwilbur@vermontel.net
