Finance and Administration Administrative Assistant Glenna Keleher to retire

July 16, 2015

After three years serving as a welcoming presence for visitors to the New England Annual Conference office, Glenna Keleher, Administrative Assistant to Conference Treasurer Bill Burnside, will retire on July 31, 2015.

“Glenna brought a delightful grace, diligence, sense of humor and a willingness to accept new challenges to this role, and she will be sorely missed,” said Burnside. “In a relatively short time, Glenna has helped organize and document processes that will live on after she retires.  I have been so impressed with her resourcefulness and perseverance.”

Many know Glenna from the registration and information desk at Annual Conference.  Glenna began working for the Conference in 2007 as a temporary employee, proofreading the Annual Conference Journal and working with Conference Secretary Ralph R.R. Oduor.  In 2010, she began helping in the Benefits area and with special projects for Finance and Administration. She was hired as a full-time employee in March 2012.

One of her behind-the-scenes responsibilities is to schedule and be the liaison for equipment and systems repair and building maintenance contractors and inspectors for the Conference Center.

“She has such humility some may not realize that she is responsible for many areas that keep the Conference office – and Finance and Administration in particular – running smoothly,” Burnside said.

Glenna and her husband live in Methuen, MA.  A native of Montreal, Canada, Glenna looks forward to doing some travelling and spending time with her new granddaughter, family and friends as she joins her husband in retirement.

The New England Conference thanks Glenna for her service and congratulates her as she embarks on this new chapter of her life. We pray that she finds as much joy in retirement as we at the Conference have found in working with her.
