FEBRUARY 2018

On the first Wednesday of each month, the UMCatalyst puts the spotlight on news and information about our Camp and Retreat Centers. It’s cold outside, but things are heating up at our camps: Summer camp registration is open, and there are many new and exciting programs at all our sites. Take a look at what’s happening:

Aldersgate summer camp registration is open

Camp Aldersgate is excited to announce its new website and the opening of registration for summer camps. Aldersgate, in North Scituate, RI,  offers a wide variety of innovative camp programs including an arts immersion camp (Living Arts), science (Early Explorers & Discovery), cooking (Camper’s Kitchen & Global Chef), adventure (Camper vs. Wild & Aldersgate Adventure), positive self-image (GO: Go Girls! & GO: Go Guys!) and leadership development (CIT). Even the traditional camps have a twist: Letting campers choose their own activities and create their best week.

Mission opportunities abound at Mechuwana

Camp Mechuwana in Winthrop, ME, hosts work groups from all over the country. These groups are made up of youth and adults who spend the week as missionaries working on projects set up by the camp’s missions staff. We work very hard with each group, so they can have the life-changing experience they are looking for.

This year, Rolling Ridge is offering seven different retreat opportunities to allow Christ's followers to walk with Jesus through this Lenten and Easter season.
