Pastors, when thinking about your church have you ever found yourself wondering "What happened?" "What went wrong?" "What’s really going on?"
"Tending the Fire" can give you new tools for understanding yourself and your church.
“The concepts, perspective and self-knowledge gained from Tending the Fire are as valuable as any I’ve come across in my 25 years of active pastoral ministry. I wish I had experienced Tending the Fire years earlier.” – Rev. Henry Frueh, Upper New York Conference UMC
Join the many others in the New England Conference who have participated in "Tending the Fire" led by the Rev. Barb Lemmel. "Tending the Fire" draws on the wisdom of family systems theory as developed by Murray Bowen and Edwin Friedman, combined with the adaptive leadership insights of Ron Heifetz and the powerful research of Brené Brown. Rather than a formula for leadership, "Tending the Fire" helps the participating clergy to understand family systems and how they work within our churches.
"Tending the Fire" will be offered in a three-retreat format with the “Opening Intensive” scheduled for Sept. 29 - Oct. 1, the Deepening Retreat on Nov. 10-12, and the Sending Retreat on Jan. 5-7, 2016 at Rolling Ridge Retreat and Conference Center in N. Andover, MA. See the flyer for more information and to register.
A $100 discount for early registration has been extended to Aug. 14, 2015.
