Holy Land Pilgrimage 2022

Join the 2022 Holy Land pilgrimage

The NEAC Episcopal Office is planning a spiritual pilgrimage to the Holy Land from Feb. 14-24, 2022. Clergy and laity are welcome and encouraged to register!

There is special pricing for recent ordinands and commissionees and their spouses as well as for clergy and spouses who are first-time pilgrims to the Holy Land. Contact Brenda Borchers to learn more about these discounts.

Note about passports: For those of you considering making the pilgrimage but do not yet have a passport, please note that the regular application process for U.S. passports is taking up to six months. The expedited process is still an option, but is taking longer than usual as well. Also note that your passport should be valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates.

Clergy discount/scholarships available for 2022 Holy Land pilgrimage

Special pricing is available for clergy traveling to the Holy Land for the first time. This discounted price of $1,998 applies to ordained and provisional elders/deacons as well as local pastors who have graduated from seminary or completed the course of study.

In addition, there are some scholarship funds available to further reduce the cost. Educational Opportunities is able to offer a $300 scholarship for each new ordinand, and clergy ordained in the last three years, from endowed resources. There are a limited number of $1,000 scholarships also available through the NEAC Board of Trustees.

Contact Brenda Cayer to learn more about your eligibility at bishopsoffice@neumc.org or (978) 682-7555 ext. 250.
