“To everything there is a season, And a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; ... A time to weep, and a time to laugh; … A time to be sad, and a time to dance; … A time to hug, and a time not to hug ...” — excerpt from Ecclesiastes 3
Events & meetings happening in and around the New England Conference and Commonwealth West District
DS Megan will be taking her renewal leave this summer so she will be doing some of the One on Ones before Annual Conference. The Pastor Conversation Form (that we use as the basis of the One-on-One conversation) and a sign up genius link to register for a day and time has gone out to those who will be scheduled before annual conference. Because DS Megan can't see everyone for One on Ones prior to her renewal leave, some will be given options of a day and time in September or October rather than April or May. All clergy, whether you are United Methodist, or from another denomination serving a Federated/United Parish congregation, those in extension ministry, Certified Lay Ministers, Lay Supply Pastors, and retirees serving a local church or ministry will receive the link and email.
If you have been scheduled in April and May you should have received an email on April 12 with a Formvites link at the bottom. Please click the Formvite link so you can fill in the pastoral conversation form. It is due a week prior to your One on One. DS Megan will cancel scheduled One on Ones if she don't have the formvite (Pastoral Conversation) in by the deadline. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to CWDS@neumc.org .
On your scheduled day & time you can join by Zoom right from the Sign-Up Genius.
Commonwealth West district pastors and lay supply who were unable to attend the training can sign up for one of the trainings below.
This in-person training is REQUIRED for clergy and lay ministers serving on ministry teams. Laity, especially those in leadership positions, are strongly encouraged to attend.

We are called to be leaders in The United Methodist Church, not just bystanders. All men attending a United Methodist Church are invited to a virtual gathering at 7 pm on Thursday, April 27, 2023. We will be joined by Bishop Peggy A. Johnson to talk about Men's Ministry throughout the New England Conference. Learn more
Attendance at a transition workshop is an important piece of a successful pastoral transition. Two workshops have been scheduled for 2023. Each will be held by Zoom. Full-time pastors and at least one member of the SPRC for congregations that are being served by full-time pastors are required to attend one of these. Part-time pastors and at least one member of the SPRC for congregations that are being served by part-time pastors are strongly encouraged to attend one of these.
