Helping Our Children Get Through Tough Times
How can we support, advise, and encourage children who are struggling with the after effects of COVID and how it has affected their schooling, families, peer relationships, and other difficult situations?
Greg Marley, LCSW, with the Maine National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) will speak on "Supporting Youth Mental Wellness and Resiliance after a Pandemic."
The session will focus on the vital role played by caring adults. Nancy Audet of NAMI Maine will also speak on a program for churches that will help congregations with mental illness awareness and education.
See NECUMW Fall Gathering REVISED Information
for complete details about the program and registration. There will be a morning session, a lunch break, and an afternoon session.
Please note that the time has changed to 9:30 and that the program will be held via Zoom only.
You are encouraged to gather locally and bring snacks and lunch - or join from your own home space. Be inspired by the speakers, and get ideas about how to help the women, children, and youth in our lives.
Register by contacting Marcia Hoyt: firstname.lastname@example.org by October 18.
