Ecumenical service: Prayers for Christian Unity
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
The warmth of the Holy Spirit to you on this cold day! I pray you are basking in the glow of Christmas.
I have good news as we prepare to pray together at our district:
Prayers for Christian Unity Service:
Friday, January 19, 2018
Roman Catholic Cathedral of St. Michael the Archangel
260 State Street Springfield, MA.
Bishop Sudarshana Devadhar of the New England Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, Bishop Mitchell Rozanski Roman Catholic Diocese of Springfield, and His Grace Bishop David of the Coptic Church, in partnership with the Massachusetts Council of Churches invite Christians to gather for a time of prayer, a witness to unity in a time of intense political division and renewal of baptismal vows.
Clergy are asked to arrive at 6:15pm to vest and process.
Fellowship reception to follow.
Offering will support hurricane relief efforts in the US Virgin Islands.
Parking is behind the Cathedral on Elliot Street.
The Cathedral is handicapped accessible.
All Connecticut/Western Massachusetts District clergy are also requested to bring interested people from their congregations with them to experience this beautiful event.
If you have any questions, please feel to contact the district office.
Grace and Peace
Rev. David V. Calhoun D.Min. APC
District Superintendent Connecticut/Western Massachusetts
