Greetings RISEM Clay (Clergy & Laity),
I want to thank each of our district churches for your faithfulness in your mission share giving last year. More than half of the churches in our district gave 100% and this truly demonstrated our connection beyond the local church. I encourage you to continue the good work God has begun in you for truly our district is on a Comeback.
Most people who set out to make New Year’s resolutions usually reject them or fail to live up to them as quickly as they made them. I believe the best resolution for any believer of Jesus Christ is to focus our attention on God and strive to live and do what the Word of God teaches us.
As we journey together, let us not become fearful or overly concerned about what the future holds for us. Remember God’s Word which says, “He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind.” Let His Word also remind you that “all things, not some things, but all things work together for the good of those who are the called according to his purpose.” Because you are the called and have God’s power, love and a sound mind, let these words encourage you; let His Word quiet your fears and steady your feet as we journey through 2019 together.
As always, I thank God for each of you, your church, community and your families. I pray that you will resolve to stay in love with God and lead a godly life. I pray that you know just how valuable you are to kingdom building.
Thank you for allowing me to serve you and thank you for our comeback!
Blessings Always (Numbers 6:24-26
