Rev. Marion Grant, a retired elder in the New England Conference is happy to announce that her book
 
The Road is Made by Walking:  A Peoples’ History of the Nicaragua Covenant between the New England Conference of The United Methodist Church and the Association of The Church of Christ of Nicaragua is now available in paperback and e-reader through Amazon.com.
 
Marion spent several years conducting interviews with people both in Nicaragua and New England who had been involved in The Nicaragua Covenant from the mid-1980’s onward. This “Peoples’ History” is based on those interviews as well as Marion’s own experiences as part of the Nicaragua Covenant/Nicaragua Planning Committee.
 
The paperback edition (8 ½’’ x 11” format, consisting of 282 pages) is $37.95 plus tax and shipping, of which 78 cents ($0.78) per copy will be paid in royalty. The e-book edition is $10.00 and pays a $3.50 royalty. All royalties received will go toward getting the book translated into Spanish. Contributions toward this goal have been received from The Uncasville Community where this journey began and from the New England United Methodist Historical Society.
