Administrative Assistant (part-time)

The Weston United Methodist Church is seeking a Part-Time Administrative Assistant (approx. 16 hours a week) to begin April 1st. We are an active church looking for someone to work collaboratively with our staff and volunteers to facilitate the ministries of the church.
The Administrative Assistant works for and with the pastor and is instrumental in coordinating and managing administrative aspects of the church office to ensure effective operation. This person maintains the church office in an open, friendly and professional manner, acting as a point of contact for the church via phone, email, and written correspondence. The ideal candidate will possess: strong writing and communication skills; proven ability to maintain confidentiality; excellent computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint), email, Facebook, and webpage; financial capability to manage the office budget; excellent time management and organizational skills; attention to detail; experience with public relations and publicity; a proven capacity for maintaining confidentiality.
