Executive Director, Pastoral Counseling Services of the South Shore

The Institute for Spiritual Life and Psychotherapy (islpma.org) is seeking a quarter-time Executive Director who can embrace and carry forward the mission of ISLP. The ED will embody a passion for the programs of ISLP balanced with a commitment to effectively lead our ministry to sustain long-term organizational and financial stability. Working closely with the Board of Directors and the Clinical Director, the ED will oversee the general operations of the pastoral counseling center. The ED will guide the organization in developing, directing, and evaluating agency services. Together with the Clinical Director, the ED will lead a clinical team of twenty that adheres to the highest standards of spiritually-integrated counseling. The ED will oversee the work of the Office Manager and Bookkeeper. The ED will promote collaborative relationships with our six host churches. If desired, the ED will have the opportunity to build a fee-for-service clinical caseload, and - if needed - to work toward licensure under the supervision of a licensed clinician. The ED will be contracted for an initial tenure of up to two years, with a transition to permanent ED upon vote of the Board. Salary will start at $20,000 per year plus benefits, with the option of working remotely. Qualifications: Master’s Degree. Demonstrated success in non-profit leadership desired. Excellent communication and listening skills. Understanding of the unique challenges of the mental health field. Theological background or training desired.
