Administrative Assistant Position - North Kingstown United Methodist Church

North Kingstown United Methodist Church is a vibrant church seeking a new part-time administrative assistant. Our administrative assistant maintains the church office in an open, friendly and professional manner. Working closely with our pastor, the administrative assistant is often the first person to interact with people visiting our church, or calling in search of information or assistance. Duties of the administrative assistant include: - Gather information for, prepare and print weekly and special bulletins, monthly newsletter. - Answer church telephone and review answering machine messages. - Check church e-mail and respond to messages as required. - Maintain a calendar of all church meetings and events. - Prepare necessary correspondence and other mailings. - Order, purchase and maintain all office supplies, curriculum, study guides and other items. - Maintain personal and family membership information in data base. - Inform Pastor regarding shut-ins, hospitalizations and requests for visitation or prayer. - Monitor annual and periodic inspections, licenses and permits. - Assist in the preparation of annual reports.
