Growing Compassionate Kids: Helping Kids See Beyond Their Backyard – biblical methods for teaching children and teens compassion toward people who live without voice, hope, or Christ. This book includes ideas for incorporating social outreach into family life, biblical rationale for introducing children and teens to God’s call to help their neighbors, reflection questions, personal and family devotions, and practical ideas for volunteering as a family.

The United Methodist Children’s Fund for Christian Mission – helps children learn about and make contributions to a select group of mission projects that are chosen for their value in helping children understand what it means to “be in mission.” Projects change each year which provides children with a variety of learning experiences and a diverse understanding of children in other states and countries.

United Methodist Committee on Relief Emergency Kits – UMCOR Supply Kits help to care for the most vulnerable people during times of crisis. They also help to sustain everyday life by providing basic necessities to people who lack ready access to essential supplies. Gathering and creating supply kits is a meaningful way for children to experience a hands-on mission of the church.
