On June8, 1973 I was forcibly retired from Old West Church in Boston and The United Methodist ministry by a vote of the ministerial delegates of the Southern New England Conference, after Bishop Edward G. Carroll had told the delegates that he would not appoint me to any church- and he had the sold power to appoint any minister to any position.
