Earlier this year, the New England Conference Anti-Racism Steering Committee, together with Community Change, surveyed scores of people in our conference who have experienced anti-racism training in the past decade or more. As we look forward to the work that is before us, we wanted to thank all those who were part of this survey and to report the results. The number of responses was great! The results reflect that some impact has been made by these training opportunities. There is much work that is before us.
Survey questions and summary results
The Anti-Racism SC was formed by the conference a few years ago to bring together leadership from the Commission on Religion and Race, Cabinet, Board of Ordained Ministry, Board of Laity, Bishop's Office, and others. This group seeks to coordinate the work of our conference level leadership in healing the wounds of racism and dismantling white privilege.
