When the Vermont United Methodist congregations joined the New England Conference in 2010, a new district was created, the Vermont District, and our District is still being shaped and formed. Structure can be used to enhance the ministries of the District, but we need people who are willing to serve.

This team will work together to help the District with visioning, planning, and programming as we try to live into God's desire for us. If you have a heart for the United Methodists in Vermont and a hope for what we can be and do, then this might be for you! [TOP]
The District Finance Committee is composed of lay and clergy members who serve as a resource for local churches with regard to education about stewardship and financial matters. The committee also is available as a resource for concerns about Mission Shares and has been proactive in working with churches who have struggled to meet their obligations. Current chair is the Rev. This team might be for you if you have a desire to expand our concepts of what it means to be the church and what this may look like. What might new churches or congregations in Vermont look like? How can this become reality? [TOP]

This committee is chaired by Rev. Kirk Thompson. The committee serves as a resource for local congregations that are considering such things as church improvement projects related to buildings/properties or the disposition or acquisition of property and facilities. [TOP]

If you want tangible, physical results, consider this committee! The district parsonage in Williston often needs maintenance and repair work, so part of this committee's work is arranging for the completion of such tasks in coordination with the Conference Trustees. This group will be involved involved with the consideration of a new location for the district parsonage. [TOP]
