New England Conference clergy and laity have access to a variety of local, regional, and national training opportunities, including workshops and seminars, district leadership trainings, and of course, the annual New England School of Congregational Development held in the Fall each year.

February 23 at 6:30 PM CST: HEALTHY CHURCH LEADERS – KEY FACTORS

SPRC has a key role for health of body, mind and soul for your pastor and leaders. GBPHB'sCenter for Health shares key factors for a healthy ministry environment.

 

Training for new church leaders is also available. One-hour recorded modules are available for the Church Council, Trustees, Nominating Committees, Finance leaders, and S/PPRC. Individuals can watch at home or church groups can view the modules when they meet. Encourage the pastors and laity in congregations to learn their jobs with these modules posted at www.gbod.org/committee_resources 
NCD Coach Training
February 3, 2012
8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
First UMC, North Andover, MA
 
This seminar is designed for NCD coaches who have completed NCD Basic Training. Coaches who have already taken Phase 2 training are encouraged to attend since this training includes elements new to the NCD process in order to enable coaches to be more effective in working with churches. Refreshments at breaks and lunch are included. Those attending this event are eligible to receive CEU's.

  • Training for effective coaching within the NCD coaching model
  • Relate, Reflect, Refocus, Resource, Review
  • Strengthen coaching skills and anchor them to spiritual foundations
  • Comprehensive overview of our the "I - WE - They" process to more thoroughly prepare and engage churches in the NCD Process. Video curriculum provided to guide each coach through the process and tools such as the Insight Inventory, Conflict Style Assessment, Focused Living Retreat and Mission Insight demographic tools.
