Adult Studies:

Food and Faith - This study examines the ways our faith is nurtured, strengthened and enhanced by food and by all the ways food touches our lives.  We will explore Holy Communion; the ways in which food can be a companion, a comforter and an enemy; how food and faith relate to hospitality.

The Beauty and Courage of Sudan: Why a Dream of Peace is Possible - Starting with an overview of the history of Sudan from Biblical times, this study looks at the country's main ethnicities, religions and languages, and points out the possible causes of its wars.  We will see how Sudanese women are contributing to the peace process, as well as to the culture as a whole.  We will critique the severe impact of Colonialism, current challenges, and ways in which we can affirm and embrace the Sudanese people.

Giving Our Hearts Away: Native American Survival - In this study, we will learn about the relationship between this country's indigenous people and the land.  We will identify key issues affecting Native Americans and the roots of these issues.  We will come to recognize their "give away" culture in spirituality, ecology, language, storytelling, and understand how we can act as responsible citizens and Christians.

Youth Study (Farmington, ME and Manchester, NH):

Food, Faith and Me
-
Shows youth many ways in which they can actively live their faith through participation in environmental and food-related organizations.

Children's Study (Farmington, ME and Manchester, NH):

Piecing Together Peace for Sudan
 -
Explore the intersection between piece work and peace work.  Examine the complex diversity in Sudan, much like the pieces of a quilt.
