U.M. ARMY Offers Summer 2013 Mission Weeks for Youth and Young Adults

January 30, 2013

The United Methodist Action Reach-out Mission by Youth (U.M. ARMY) is celebrating 10 years for service in the Northeast with another season of amazing mission programs for youth and young adults. We run affordable weeklong programs that serve people in need while promoting spiritual growth and leadership in youth. Our summer mission weeks are hosted in United Methodist churches and run by well-trained volunteer staff. This is a great opportunity to connect with other United Methodist youth groups!

Projects include painting, yard work, porch and stair repair, construction of handicap access ramps and other small residential projects. Safety is a high priority in all that we do. Camp participants will be motivated each day with devotional time and uplifting evening worship. Fun activities are planned in the evening. Church groups are required to bring adult participants. First time participants are eligible for a $50 discount off the registration fee.

Limited space is still available in the following weeks and locations:

  • June 9-15 Springfield, MA Young Adult (1year beyond High School and older)
  • July 7-13 Bradford, VT Mixed Age (Completed 7th -12th Grade)
