Rev. Charles Fowlie
By Thom Gallen, Executive Director, PAS, PAS18@msn.com
The Board of Managers of the Preachers Aid Society of New England is pleased to announce that the Reverend Charles Fowlie, who led the organization from 1984 until 2001 has returned to work part-time with the Society as Consultant in Planned Giving. Charlie, who is the Executive Director Emeritus of the Society, has agreed to be available for persons who have questions and concerns regarding their planned giving intentions in the areas of wills, trusts, gift annuities and other benevolent concerns.
Reverend Fowlie led the Society through it strongest period of growth in both assets and services during the 1980s and 1990s. The substantial support that the Society now gives to the New England Conference in the area of retiree health care and visitation was begun under his leadership. During his tenure the Preachers Aid Society saw the greatest gains in its investment portfolio and laid the foundations for much of the stewardship training now offered for pastors and laity in our Conference.
Charlie holds professional certifications in planned giving and has an extensive background in this area to bring to pastors and laity concerned about their estates and future legacies. The Society appreciates his willingness to serve our Church in this unique ministry.
Please contact Reverend Fowlie (207-928-2334, firstname.lastname@example.org) if you have estate concerns to discuss and especially to include the Preachers Aid Society in your will or to arrange for lifetime gift annuities offered through PAS. The Society is one of the financially safest places to put this kind of gift, which will return a generous income for your lifetime and that of your spouse.
