The Lawrence United Methodist Office is at 276 Essex Street, in Lawrence - between the First Essex Bank and the Sovereign Bank. (Between Appleton and Lawrence Streets)

From the North: From I-495 South, take Exit 45 / Marston Street. Travel 6/10 of a mile on Marston and turn left on Canal Street. Follow Canal Street for 6/10 of a mile, crossing through one traffic light (notice the canal is on your left.) At the 2nd stop sign, turn right, between the courthouse and the parking garage. You can park in the lot across the street (#2, above) or in the garage (#1.) Both charge a fee by the hour. The UM office is on Essex Street. You can see the back of the building from parking lot #2, but it's not marked. Walk through the bank parking lot to get to Essex St.

From the South: Take I-495 North to Exit 41B (Route 28 North - Lawrence.) Where Route 28 bears to the left, continue straight on South Union Street. Follow South Union for several blocks. After crossing a green steel bridge, take your 2nd left (Methuen Street.) After a few blocks, you will see the District courthouse on the left. You can park in the lot across the street (#2, above) or continue to the end of Methuen Street to Eidam's parking lot (#9.) Both charge a fee by the hour. You can also park in the garage (#1.) Essex Street runs parallel to Methuen Street.

We recommend you park in the Buckley Garage (#3). Yes, there is (free) street parking, but due to the heavy traffic, there are rarely any available spots close to the Conference Offices. They are also only available in 1- and 2-hour spaces. There are also many one-way streets that tend to confuse new visitors to Lawrence. Your first time or two visiting probably should begin in one of the listed parking lots.
