SATURDAY JUNE 24, 6:00PM: 2nd Annual Praise in the Park: praise groups from Church of the Rock, Grace United Methodist Church, St. Paul's United Methodist Church, and The Smokey Newfield Project will come together for a night of Praise in the Park. Come at 5:30 for a free BBQ put on by Rise Up. There will be a collection of nonperishable food items and a freewill offering to support local charities. Friday Open MICs and Coffee Houses 


First Friday of the month: Coffee House and music at Trinity United Methodist Church, (137 Main Street, Montpelier), 7PM ‘til – 9 or later. Bring a friend! Join us for a couple of hours of fellowship, singing and praise.

The Coffee House at Trinity will resume on Friday, May 5 with Brenda Cruz and friends. We provide coffee, tea, hot chocolate and soft drinks and people bring as they can something to share, as simple as cookies or chips to chili pizza, chicken wings or – just join us. ALL are welcome!

FIRST FRIDAY OPEN MIC: Chittenden Church of the Wildwood

First Friday of the month, October - April, 7:00 PM: Wildwood Open Mic, at Church of the Wildwood, 347 Holden Rd, Chittenden VT. Musicians, poets and storytellers of all ages invited to perform.Desserts & non alcoholic beverages available. Come to entertain and/or listen and sing along.  Portion of free-will donation goes to local charities. SATURDAY, APRIL 29, 5:00PM: Ham Supper and Silent Auction at the Winooski United Methodist Church, corner of 24 West Allen and Follett Streets, across from the police station. Serving starts at 5:00 P.M. until all are served. The menu consists of Ham, Scalloped Potatoes, Baked Beans, Glazed Carrots, Coleslaw and Rolls. Dessert includes brownies or lemon squares. Take out is available. Please call ahead. Tickets $ 10.00 per person, children 10 years and under $ 5.00. Reservations preferred: call 355-3139 or 655-7371. Free parking available in the City Hall Parking lot and on Weaver St. Come and bring a friend.

FRIDAY, MAY 12, hours between 4:30-6:30 eat-in or take-out: Monthly dinner second Friday of the month at Carolyn’s Highgate Community Center (3327 Route 78 Highgate VT - yellow building next to Highgate UMC). Pork Roast Dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, dinner roll, applesauce, and cake for dessert. Cost is $8.00 per person and $5.00 under 12. Call 868-4921.

SATURDAY, MAY 13:  Ham Dinner and Silent Auction at Faith United Methodist Church (899 Dorset Street, South Burlington - across from Cairns Arena). The menu will include ham, Gwen’s gourmet macaroni and cheese, maple glazed carrots, southern green beans, rolls, homemade pies, and beverages. There will be two seatings: 5:00 and 6:15, plus takeout is available. The cost is $ 10.00 for adults and $ 6.00 for children 10 and under. The silent auction will include over 75 gift items and will run from 4:30 – 7:30 pm. For reservations or take out, please call the church at 863-6764 or Valerie at 999-6864. If available, tickets will be sold at the door. Tables can be reserved for a group of 6-7 people.

FRIDAY, MAY 5, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM & SATURDAY, MAY 6, 8:00 AM – Noon: Annual Spring Rummage Sale at St. Paul's UMC (11 Church St., St. Albans). Come Friday for best selection of clothes, books, baby items, and household goods. Saturday is Bag Day: $3 to fill a small bag or $6 to fill a large bag.

FRIDAY, MAY 5, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM & SATURDAY, MAY 6, 9:00 AM – 1:00PM: Annual Spring Rummage Sale at Grace United Methodist Church (130 Maple St. - next to ADL school, Essex Jct., VT).
