WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 16 - FRIDAY, AUGUST 18: Vacation Bible School at the Federated Church of East Arlington each day from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon.  Open to any child between the ages of going into Kindergarten this fall through entering 6th grade.  The theme is "Fruits of the Spirit" with stories, crafts, games, and snacks.  Phone 802-375-2548 to register.

MONDAY TO THURSDAY, AUGUST 21-24, 5PM-7:30PM: “Maker Fun Factory” Vacation Bible School (ages 4-12) at Trinity United Methodist Church (137 Main Street, Montpelier VT). At Maker Fun Factory VBS, kids discover not only that God made them the way they are, but for a purpose too. Maker Fun Factory is filled with incredible hands-on Bible-learning experiences kids see, hear, touch, and even taste! Plus, we’ll help kids discover how to see evidence of God in everyday life. End of Life Journey Series at Shelburne UMCEnd of Life Journey… Choices, Challenges, Conversations. Sundays beginning September 17 -October 8. Choose to attend any or all of the series offerings which include a one-act play B.O.A.T.I.N.G., documentaries, hospice presenter from the VNA, and discussions. Friday Open MICs and Coffee Houses 

FIRST FRIDAY COFFEE HOUSE: Montpelier, Trinity UMC

First Friday of the month, resuming in the fall: Coffee House and music at Trinity United Methodist Church, (137 Main Street, Montpelier), 7PM ‘til – 9 or later. Bring a friend! Join us for a couple of hours of fellowship, singing and praise. We provide coffee, tea, hot chocolate and soft drinks and people bring as they can something to share, as simple as cookies or chips to chili pizza, chicken wings or – just join us. ALL are welcome!

FIRST FRIDAY OPEN MIC: Chittenden Church of the Wildwood

First Friday of the month, October - April, 7:00 PM: Wildwood Open Mic, at Church of the Wildwood, 347 Holden Rd, Chittenden VT. Musicians, poets and storytellers of all ages invited to perform.Desserts & non alcoholic beverages available. Come to entertain and/or listen and sing along.  Portion of free-will donation goes to local charities. Dinners, Suppers, and more... 

THURSDAY, AUGUST 17, 5:00PM: Family style Peach Shortcake Supper with continuous serving at the Pownal United Methodist Church (corner of Rt 346 and Church Street). The menu includes: grilled chicken breasts and thighs, baked Ham, pineapple sauce, baked beans, potato and Jello salads, rolls, coffee, iced tea or lemonade, and homemade peach shortcake. Tickets available at the door: $12 for adults, $6 for children 4-10 years, and free for children 3 years and under. SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 4:30 – 6:30PM: Ham Supper at the North Hero UMC (US Rt 2, North Hero Village). Ham, baked beans, potato salad, tossed salad, ice cream and brownies, assorted beverages. Adults $10, Children 5-12: $5, under 5: free. 

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 30, 2017, seatings at 5:00 PM and 6:15 PM: Chicken and Biscuit Dinner at Shelburne UMC (30 Church ST, Shelburne). Menu includes: Chicken, gravy, and biscuit with mashed potatoes, coleslaw, squash, homemade B & B pickles, cranberry sauce, homemade pies, apple (with cheddar cheese or ice cream) or pumpkin with (whipped cream), and coffee or cider. $12 adults, $6 children (5-11), free for children four and younger. SUNDAY, OCTOBER 15, seatings at 4:00, 5:15 and 6:30 PM: Annual Turkey Supper at St. Paul's UMC (11 Church St., St. Albans). All-You-Can-Eat, served family style. Clothes, baby items, toys, games, household goods, and lots of books! Come Friday for best selections. Saturday is Bag Day: $3 to fill a small bag or $6 to fill a trash bag.
