Rebuild the Road!
The 2010 School of Congregational Development
for The United Methodist Church in New England
Friday & Saturday, November 5-6
Lexington, MA
Now is the time to mark your calendar for this year's School of Congregational Development, which promises to be better than ever!
We're pleased to announce this year's keynote speakers: Rudy & Juanita Rasums of St. John's United Methodist Church in Downtown Houston, one of the most culturally diverse congregations in the country; and Jo Campe of The Recovery Church, a United Methodist Church in St. Paul, Minnesota that seeks to be a spiritual community for people in search of growth, healing, and recovery.
By popular demand, this year's school will return to Grace Chapel in Lexington, MA. New this year, we're dropping the Thursday component and extending the day on Saturday, thereby consolidating the event into Friday afternoon through Saturday afternoon, while keeping the high quality, comprehensive content.
This year's School of Congregational Development will include inspiring times of worship, challenging and encouraging plenary sessions, four workshop sessions (with more than 30 workshops to choose from), a Cokesbury bookstore, a prayer chapel, childcare, and multiple opportunities to learn and grow.
Plan now to bring a team from your church for what promises to be the most exciting leadership development event of the year, centrally located and affordable. Watch for more details coming soon!
