Funded by the Bureau of Substance Abuse Services (BSAS) at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH), the Massachusetts Technical Assistance Partnership for Prevention (MassTAPP) provides a comprehensive system of technical assistance to communities across the Commonwealth. Recently, funding from DPH has been increased to support planning, resource development, and technical assistance (TA) for the prevention of problem gambling. MassTAPP has an opening for a project coordinator to lead a prevention planning process in two regions of Massachusetts, while providing implementation TA to a third region where prevention strategies are already in place. Strong candidates will have experience working with diverse populations at the community level as well as project management experience.

Training and Technical Assistance Associates (II) work closely with prevention coalition leaders at the community level, offering guidance in areas including strategic planning, cross-sector collaboration, policy change, program implementation, communications and evaluation. MassTAPP plans and delivers a variety of meetings and events throughout the state to support substance use prevention initiatives, as well as hosting informational webinars and virtual peer-to-peer learning opportunities. The MassTAPP team develops guidance documents and other materials for communities, and maintains a resource-rich website. This position will be based at EDC Headquarters in Waltham, Massachusetts.
