The Anti-Racism Steering Committee was formed by the Conference to bring together leadership from the Commission on Religion and Race, the Cabinet, the Board of Ordained Ministry, Board of Laity, Bishop's Office, and others to coordinate the work of our Conference in healing the wounds of racism and dismantling white privilege.
In 2010, the Steering Committee, together with Community Change, surveyed scores of people in our Conference who have participated in anti-racism training in the past decade or earlier. As we look forward to the work that is before us, we wanted to thank all those who were part of this survey and to report the results. The response was great!
The results reflect that while some impact has been made by these training opportunities, there is much work before us.
